The Creative Writing course aims to develop students' skills by encouraging them to experiment with a wide-ranging variety of forms, styles and subject matter. Through critical examination of particular texts, an exploration of different techniques of composition and through close reflection on the student's own writing, it seeks to heighten awareness of the craft of writing and the range of possible approaches. Emphasis is placed on the production of independent written work and the completion of set projects.
Students may opt for a course in Academic Writing which focuses on developing the skills of question analysis, argument construction and verbal expression in order to produce a superior essay.
