COURSE CREDIT & HIGHER EDUCATION

ACADEMIC CREDIT

Reports are prepared for each subject studied at the end of the course, with an assessment of progress and achievement and suggestions on how to consolidate the work covered. Where requested, a transcript may be forwarded to schools for credit. Courses have been designed with high school credit in mind and a full credit is awarded for each course successfully completed. Detailed course descriptions are available for each subject and we liaise as necessary with a student's home institution to ensure that the course material and delivery fit in with specific curriculum requirements. Individualised courses are designed where this is requested. Students who wish credits to be transferred to their high school should consult their school guidance counsellor.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Study AbroadStudents who enrol with us are typically aiming to apply to highly competitive colleges and the educational experience we offer provides an excellent preparation, through its focus on developing independent thinking processes and encouraging active participation in the learning situation. Whether students opt for high school credit or not, the fact of having given themselves ‘The Oxford Edge' by taking part in this academic summer experience sharpens their appetite for, and ability to succeed in, a college environment, as well as impressing admissions tutors.

UK UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS

"The program exceeded my expectations in that I had a wonderful time and learned a great deal in class."
Eric Hodgman

A growing number of students each year are attracted by the possibility of applying to a good British university. Students and their families are often surprised to learn of the advantages this offers in terms of subject choices, course structure, quality and cost. Expert guidance is given on the Higher Education system in Britain, the application process (UCAS) and entrance qualifications, with particular reference to Oxford applications. Where requested, mock admissions interviews are arranged.
